Review- Elizabeth Arden Superstart Skin Renewal Booster

A new skincare category is emerging, it’s now all about boosting & protecting your skin. When the surface gets damaged, your skin can loose its natural defences to protect itself, ultimately loosing the ability to renew itself.

Enter in Elizabeth Arden’s biggest launch this year- available from 24th August- Superstart Skin Renewal Booster (£45) to boost the overall effectiveness of a person’s skin care regimen. It isn’t a serum or a moisturiser but the very first step before you put anything else on the skin. Think of it if you will as a pre-serum- the Booster is designed to be used after cleansing, but before layering a more targeted product on top.
And what is great about this is that despite Arden suggesting team it with their (very expensive) Prevage serum, it fits very easily into anyone’s skincare regime.

The aim of Superstart Skin Renewal Booster is to repair the look and feel of the skin’s surface (the stratum corneum) by just “hanging out at the top of the skin and staying there” whilst boosting both the products you use &. It was developed to support the skin’s surface, boost its natural defences and optimise your skincare regime. Superstart is also said to boost skin’s collagen, elastin and hydration levels by five, nine and 25 times respectively because it’s the surface layer that needs the potent ingredients, too.

The texture of it is very light allowing it to be easily absorbed into your skin quickly. Not only that as you start to rub it in, the hydrating gel-to-water formulation leaves your skin feeling silky soft. It also smells lovely which is an added bonus for a serum.
I used to believe that putting on an excessive amount of different skincare products to my face would mean that surely one would help my skin but actually why waste half hour of my day when one product can do the work of several? Many I’m reading are even not using a serum or moisturiser afterwards, instead feeling like Superstart is enough! Is Arden Superstart the miracle skincare product that ends all others? Try it for yourself and see!
