A new skincare category is emerging, it’s now all about boosting & protecting your skin. When the surface gets damaged, your skin can loose its natural defences to protect itself, ultimately loosing the ability to renew itself.

Enter in Elizabeth Arden’s biggest launch this year- available from 24th August- Superstart Skin Renewal Booster (£45) to boost the overall effectiveness of a person’s skin care regimen. It isn’t a serum or a moisturiser but the very first step before you put anything else on the skin. Think of it if you will as a pre-serum- the Booster is designed to be used after cleansing, but before layering a more targeted product on top.
And what is great about this is that despite Arden suggesting team it with their (very expensive) Prevage serum, it fits very easily into anyone’s skincare regime.

Review: Origins Original Skin

Origins original_skinAs you may already have picked up- I am a big Origins fan! So when along came their new Original Skin serum, I knew I would fall in love pretty quick!
Origins have been very clever and targeted a niche skincare market that is overlooked. Until now that is. It’s us “millennium baby plus” range of women in a skincare vortex who are past the stage of teenage spots but not yet requiring full-on anti-ageing products.
